Hammond PJU1084T 10x8x4 Solid Cover Twist Latch Type 4X Box with Feet

PJU1084T is a 10 x 8 x 4 solid-cover Type 4X junction box from the PJU Series with continuous hinge and twist latches, supplied with four polycarbonate feet. It is designed as an instrument enclosure, electrical junction or terminal wiring box, or control housing for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment in places that may be hosed down, very wet, hot or corrosive.

The box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and both can be punched, cut or drilled. The cover rotates on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and is closed by a lockable stainless steel butterfly type twist latch on center, with a provision for padlocking. A captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket gives a positive seal.

The PJU1084T measures 10.05 in x 8.27 in x 4.13 in (255 x 210 x 105 mm) and ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Feet are fastened with stainless steel screws into #10-32 brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The optional 14R0907 inner panel is 8.75 in x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), mounted with plated carbon steel screws.

Series standards are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with operation from -40°C to 130°C and an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
