The PJHMIPROP88 is a stainless steel prop arm for the 8x8 PJHMI Series HMI hinged covers (PJHMI88...). When the cover is mounted with its hinge along the top edge, the arm unfolds to hold the cover open, giving hands-free access to the HMI or instrument behind it during adjustment or service.
The arm is 1 in x 10.9 in x 1 in (25 mm x 277 mm x 25 mm), matching Dimension A of 10.9 for the AMHMIPROP88 size on the drawing. Shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
It is supplied as a kit and is easily field installable. The parts list comprises a cap, an "S" leg, an "L" leg, a bracket, one #10-32 x 1/2 flat head screw, one #10-32 x 1/2 pan head screw, two #10-32 locknuts and one #4-40 x 1/4 screw. Assembly needs a Phillips screwdriver, a straight screwdriver (or similar tools) and a 3/8" open end wrench.
- Assemble the legs and attach the "L" leg to the bracket with the supplied screws and locknuts.
- Mount the prop kit to the small frame hole, on either the right or left side of the cover.
- Screw the assembly into the cover with a #10-32 x 1/2" screw, torqued to 25-30 in-lbs.
The PJHMIPROP88 is RoHS and REACH compliant and carries UNSPSC 39121301 and UPC 623980273815. Choose the prop arm by cover size; this one is for the PJHMI88 covers.
