The PJHMIPROP1210 is a stainless steel prop arm sized for the 12x10 PJHMI Series HMI hinged covers (PJHMI1210...). On a cover mounted with its hinge along the top edge, the arm unfolds to hold the cover up, giving hands-free access to the equipment underneath.
This size is 1 in x 14 in x 1 in (25 mm x 356 mm x 25 mm), longer than the 10.9 in arms for the 8x8 and 10x8 covers; the drawing's size table lists Dimension A as 14.0 for the AMHMIPROP120 kit. Shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
The prop arm is easily field installable and mounts on either the right or left side of the cover. The kit contains a cap, an "S" leg, an "L" leg, a bracket, a #10-32 x 1/2 flat head screw, a #10-32 x 1/2 pan head screw, two #10-32 locknuts and a #4-40 x 1/4 screw.
Installation calls for a Phillips screwdriver, a straight screwdriver or similar tools, and a 3/8" open end wrench. After assembling the legs to the bracket, the prop kit mounts to the small frame hole and the assembly is screwed into the cover with a #10-32 x 1/2" screw at 25-30 in-lbs.
