PJHMI88CCL is an 8x8 hinged HMI cover kit with a clear polycarbonate cover and a 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch. It suits instruments or electronics that need frequent, tool-free access and a clear view, with the option to lock the latch.
The box and cover are injected polycarbonate, with an FIP (formed-in-place) polyurethane gasket and a 316 stainless steel hinge pin. A 316 stainless steel lockable snap latch holds the cover shut; the series lists PCJLLRSH as the replacement snap latch. The series offers the clear polycarbonate thermoplastic cover version as PJHMI88CCL; the matching opaque cover version is PJHMI88L. It is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated for a service temperature of -31°F (-35°C) to 266°F (130°C).
The frame measures 7.93 in (201 mm) H x 8.15 in (207 mm) W x 2.27 in (58 mm) D, with a viewing area of 6.47 in (164 mm) H x 6.69 in (170 mm) W; the nominal size is 8 in x 8 in x 2 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 51 mm). Installation needs a Phillips screwdriver or similar tool: mark and cut a panel opening of up to 6.47 in H x 6.69 in W, drill 7/32 or #2 (.220 dia) holes, and mount the kit with 8 fasteners. The supplied hardware suits mounting surfaces from .059 in to .250 in thick (the series is designed for wall thicknesses from 16 gauge through 1/4 in), torqued to 15-20 in-lbs. An optional prop arm, PJHMIPROP88, is available separately.
The PJHMI88CCL is a listed UL component (UL File E487574) for use with enclosures rated Types 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 or 13, and is CSA listed Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 or 13. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
