PJ944FS is the 8.99 x 3.93 x 3.88 in (228 x 100 x 99 mm) PJI Type 4, 4X polyester inline enclosure supplied without mounting feet. It is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and for installations that fasten the box directly through its rear holes using a #8 x 1 inch screw (not included).
The molded fiberglass polyester enclosure and matching cover have a gray finish with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and can be punched, cut or drilled as needed. The cover closes with captive stainless steel screws in threaded brass inserts onto a captive oil-resistant gasket that provides a positive seal. The series is specified for outstanding insulation and protection where equipment may be hosed down or become very wet, and for high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.
Threaded brass inserts are provided for an optional inner panel. The matching panel for this height is PJP94, an aluminum panel in natural finish measuring 6.25 x 3.13 in.
Ratings are UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and IEC 60529 IP66.
