Hammond PJ864RL 8x6x4 In Type 4X Raised Lid Fiberglass Junction Box

The PJ864RL is a compact Type 4X junction box molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester, fitted with a solid raised lid on a stainless steel hinge. At 8.00 x 6.12 x 4.13 in (203 x 155 x 105 mm) it suits electricians and OEM builders who need a small instrument enclosure, terminal wiring box or control housing that will be hosed down, run wet or face corrosive conditions.

Both the box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit and device openings. A 316 stainless steel hinge carries the cover, and a single stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center closes it against an FIP polyurethane gasket. The drawing shows a .14 in (3.55 mm) wall thickness.

Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0705 inner panel (6.75 x 4.88 in). Four 316 stainless steel feet attach to the rear through #10-32 brass inserts for wall mounting, with .34 in (8.74 mm) foot holes.

The PJ series is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The PJ864RL is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
