Hammond PJ664RL 6x6x4 in Snap Latch Hinged Raised Lid Junction Box

The PJ664RL is a compact 6.10 in H x 6.10 in W x 4.18 in D (155 x 155 x 106 mm) Type 4X junction box with a raised solid lid that opens on a continuous stainless steel hinge and closes with a stainless steel draw type snap latch, so no tools are needed to get inside. It is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled, carries an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and is rated from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).

The lockable snap latch sits on center and includes a provision for padlocking, while a closed cell neoprene gasket, described in the series as captive and oil resistant, provides a positive seal where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet. The PJ664RL is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the back. Inside, brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0505 inner panel, 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm), available in white powder coated steel, aluminum or fiberglass. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
