Hammond PJ30248RLW 30x24x8 In Type 4X Window Cover Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ30248RLW is the window-cover version of the 30 x 24 x 8 PJ enclosure. Its 30.00 x 24.00 x 8.13 in (762 x 610 x 207 mm) body is closed by a raised cover with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window, so large control and instrument assemblies can be observed without exposing them to the surrounding environment.

The series is intended for instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and in high-temperature or highly corrosive applications. The compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester box and cover are gray, UV inhibited, and easily punched, cut or drilled.

The drawing lists optional back panels in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.105 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.250 in fiberglass; inner panels are offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Operating range is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), with a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index.

The PJ30248RLW is listed to UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 31 lbs (14.06 kg).
