The PJ664RH takes the compact 6.10 x 6.10 x 4.18 in (155 x 155 x 106 mm) PJ junction box and gives it a raised, hinged solid cover, so the lid stays attached when opened. It is a Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester enclosure for electrical junctions, terminal wiring, instruments and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic controls in locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and they are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows a stainless steel hinge (continuous, per the series) and two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings that thread into #10-32 brass inserts. A closed cell neoprene gasket, captive and oil resistant according to the series, forms the seal.
The optional 14R0505 inner panel, 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm), mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws, hardware included, and is offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to rear brass inserts for wall mounting.
The PJ664RH is listed UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a 3 lbs (1.36 kg) shipping weight.
