The PJ20168RHW is the largest size in this PJ raised lid group at 20.00 in H x 16.00 in W x 8.13 in D (508 x 406 x 207 mm), with a raised hinged cover that carries a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It lets operators monitor instruments, controllers and indicators through the door, making it suitable for instrument enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, finished gray and UV inhibited for outdoor weathering. The 0.14 in (3.56 mm) wall is easily punched, cut or drilled, with an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) and an operating range of 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).
The window door rides on a continuous 316 stainless steel hinge and closes with two 316 stainless steel captive screws with retaining O-rings into #10-32 brass inserts, with a provision for padlocking. A captive oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket seals it against washdown and very wet conditions.
It is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, and RoHS and REACH compliant. Four 316 stainless steel feet mount the PJ20168RHW, and the optional P2068 inner panel (18.44 x 14.44 in / 468 x 367 mm) installs inside. Shipping weight is 17 lbs (7.71 kg).
