The PJ18168RW is a Type 4X fiberglass polyester enclosure measuring 18.40 in H x 16.40 in W x 8.13 in D (467 x 417 x 207 mm), with a raised lift-off cover fitted with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It is suited to instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures that benefit from visual checks.
Compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester is used for box and cover, finished in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors. The wall is 0.14 in (3.57 mm) per the drawing and is easily punched, cut or drilled. The material has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) and operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).
Four 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings thread into #10-32 brass inserts to compress a captive oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket, suiting locations that are hosed down, very wet or highly corrosive.
