PJ18168W is the lift-off cover option in the 18 x 16 x 8 PJ Series. With the cover fully removable and a polycarbonate window for visibility, this Type 4X fiberglass polyester box works as a large junction box, terminal wiring enclosure or instrument housing.
Four 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring thread into #10-32 brass inserts to hold the cover on its FIP polyurethane gasket. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors; the drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.57 mm) wall. The material is easily punched, cut, or drilled.
Size is 18.40 in H x 16.40 in W x 8.13 in D (467 x 417 x 207 mm), with a shipping weight of 16 lbs (7.26 kg). The optional P1868 inner panel is 16.88 x 14.88 in, and back panels on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.250 in fiberglass.
