The PJ18168T pairs an 18.40 x 16.40 x 8.13 in (467 x 417 x 207 mm) Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester body with two twist-latch door fasteners. Engineers and electricians use this style of enclosure for instrument housings, junction boxes, terminal wiring and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic controls in areas that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, finished in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.57 mm) wall. The door is carried on a continuous 316 stainless steel hinge and fastened by two lockable 316 stainless steel butterfly-type twist latches with a padlocking provision, sealing against a captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket.
