The PJ16148T is a Type 4X wallmount enclosure in fiberglass reinforced polyester measuring 16.27 in high, 14.40 in wide and 8.13 in deep (413 x 366 x 207 mm). It uses twist latches for door closure and is intended for control housings, instrument enclosures, junction boxes and terminal wiring in locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
Its box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors to resist outdoor weathering; the walls can be easily punched, cut or drilled for fittings. Per the drawing, two lockable stainless steel twist latches fasten the door, the hinge is stainless steel (continuous according to the series), and a closed cell neoprene gasket provides the seal. The butterfly-type latches include a padlocking provision.
The optional 14R1513 inner panel measures 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm) and mounts to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws; it is offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. For wall mounting, four stainless steel feet attach to rear brass inserts, and stainless steel mounting hardware is provided.
Standards for the PJ16148T include UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and IEC 60529 IP66 compliance. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
