Hammond PJ16148L 16 x 14 x 8 in Snap Latch Fiberglass Enclosure

With 8.13 in of depth and a 16.27 x 14.40 in face (413 x 366 x 207 mm overall), the PJ16148L offers room for deeper components in a Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester wallmount enclosure. It is intended as an instrument enclosure, control housing for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, junction box or terminal wiring enclosure, especially where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The door swings on a stainless steel hinge, continuous per the series data, and is secured by two lockable stainless steel draw-type snap latches with a padlocking provision. A closed cell neoprene gasket seals the door.

Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1513 inner panel, 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm), offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass; mounting hardware is included. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to rear brass inserts for wall installation.

The PJ16148L is UL 508A listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL listed to the same types per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and has a shipping weight of 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
