Hammond PJ14126H 14x12x6 In Hinged Screw-Cover Type 4X Fiberglass Box

PJ14126H pairs the 14.13 x 12.26 x 6.13 in (359 x 311 x 156 mm) PJ polyester junction box with a hinged cover secured by screws, so the cover stays attached during wiring and service. Typical uses listed for the series include instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures in wet, hose-down, hot or corrosive locations.

The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The PJ14126H drawing shows a stainless steel hinge, two #10-32 brass inserts with stainless steel captive cover screws on retaining O-rings, and a closed cell neoprene gasket.

Inside, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R1311 inner panel measuring 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm). Back panel options shown on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass.

Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to rear brass inserts with stainless screws; the drawing gives 15.84 in (402.39 mm) over the feet and 0.34 in (8.74 mm) holes. Ratings are UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 with IEC 60529 IP66 compliance, an operating range of 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F) and a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index.
