The PJ12124RTW is the window-cover model of the square, shallow PJ enclosure: 12.13 x 12.13 x 4.13 in (308 x 308 x 105 mm) in the series ordering table and 12.32 x 12.32 x 4 in (313 x 313 x 102 mm) on the part page. A bonded polycarbonate viewing window in the raised cover makes it a good match for instrument enclosures and control housings that need visual monitoring in wet, hose-down, hot or corrosive settings.
It is molded from compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the box is easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches with padlocking provision, a 316 stainless steel hinge, a FIP polyurethane gasket and a 0.13 in (3.30 mm) wall.
The optional 14R1111 inner panel (10.75 x 10.88 in / 273 x 276 mm) fastens to #10-32 brass inserts using plated carbon steel screws. Back panels on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel or 0.125 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear, and mounting hardware is included.
Certifications include UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and the PJ12124RTW complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and a 7 lb (3.18 kg) shipping weight. The solid-lid version is PJ12124RT.
