The PJ12106HW is a Type 4X fiberglass polyester junction box with a hinged, screw-fastened cover and a polycarbonate viewing window. It is part of the PJ Series and is intended for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where the contents need to stay visible without opening the cover.
Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The cover swings on a 316 stainless steel hinge and closes with two 316 stainless steel captive cover screws that thread into #10-32 brass inserts and carry a retaining O-ring. A FIP polyurethane gasket seals the opening, and the drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.55 mm) wall.
The ordering table lists the enclosure at 12.13 in H x 10.26 in W x 6.13 in D (308 x 261 x 156 mm). Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg). The matching optional inner panel is 14R1109, measuring 10.75 x 8.88 in, and back panels are drawn in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass.
For installation, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to brass inserts on the rear, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The series carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94 and IEC 60529 IP66 ratings, operates from -40°C to 130°C, and PJ12106HW is RoHS and REACH compliant.
