Hammond PJ1084RLW 10x8x4 In Type 4X Fiberglass Box with Window Cover

The PJ1084RLW gives the 10 x 8 x 4 PJ enclosure a raised cover with a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. With an enclosure size of 10.13 x 8.26 x 4.13 in (257 x 210 x 105 mm), it is built for instrument panels, meters and indicator devices that need to be read in wet, hosed-down, hot or corrosive environments without opening the cover.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor service. The material punches, cuts and drills easily for field modifications. The drawing calls for a closed cell neoprene gasket, a stainless steel hinge and one stainless steel lockable snap latch on center; the draw-type latch can take a padlock.

For equipment mounting, four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel measuring 8.75 x 6.88 in. Inner panels are offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the back with stainless steel screws, and the foot holes are .34 in (8.74 mm).

The PJ1084RLW carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL Type ratings per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Operating range is 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), impact index 6.78 J (5 ft/lb). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, shipping weight 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
