Hammond PJ1084RL 10x8x4 In Type 4X Solid Raised Lid Fiberglass Box

The PJ1084RL is a 10 x 8 x 4 Type 4X junction box with a solid raised lid, built from compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester. The ordering table lists the enclosure at 10.13 x 8.26 x 4.13 in (257 x 210 x 105 mm), making it a shallow wallmount housing for terminal blocks, instrument wiring or pneumatic and hydraulic controls in wet, hot or corrosive locations.

The gray polyester body carries enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering and is easily punched, cut or drilled. On this size the drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket, a stainless steel hinge and a single stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center. The draw-type latch includes a padlock provision, and the series gasket is captive and oil resistant for a positive seal.
