The PJ1084RHW is a Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester junction box, 10.13 x 8.26 x 4.13 in (257 x 210 x 105 mm), with a raised hinged cover that includes a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It lets operators check instruments or indicators through the cover and is intended for instrument enclosures, junction boxes, terminal wiring and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings in wet, washdown, hot or highly corrosive locations.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering; both are easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover hinges on a stainless steel hinge (continuous per the series) and is secured by two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings in #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket.
The optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws, hardware included, and is available in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to rear brass inserts for wall installation.
The PJ1084RHW is UL 508A listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL listed to the same types per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) impact index, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
