Hammond PHW483616 48x36x16 Large Fiberglass Type 4X Enclosure

The PHW483616 is a large Type 4X polyester wallmount enclosure with a 48 x 36 x 16 in nominal size. It is designed to accommodate electrical, electronic, instrumentation and mechanical controls in indoor and outdoor locations, and is intended for applications that need a corrosion resistant, watertight enclosure providing protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing and hose directed water.

The enclosure is compression molded, fiberglass reinforced polyester in a light gray finish. Its door is ported with a continuous hinge and secured by stainless steel butterfly type twist latch fasteners, closing against a memory retaining continuous door gasket. Stainless steel hardware and a padlocking provision are standard.

With overall dimensions of 51.29 in H x 36.62 in W x 17.93 in D (1,303 x 930 x 455 mm), the PHW483616 offers substantial interior volume, and its shipping weight is 108 lbs (48.99 kg). The optional 18P4533 inner panel provides a 45.00 x 33.00 in (1143 x 838 mm) mounting surface and attaches to molded in panel mounting inserts.

Integral mounting feet are molded into the enclosure for wall mounting. Series ratings are UL 508A 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and CSA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and the enclosure complies with NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP 66. The PHW483616 is RoHS and REACH compliant.
