The PCJ864LF is the solid-cover, flange-mount version of the 8 x 6 x 4 in (203 x 152 x 102 mm) metal-latch PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box. The flanges place mounting fasteners outside the gasketed interior, making it a practical choice for wall or structure mounting in indoor and outdoor locations. The series is aimed at protecting controls and components in pump control, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.
Construction is injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic with a matching light gray cover, enhanced UV inhibitors and a material that is easily punched, cut or drilled. The hinged cover uses a stainless steel hinge pin and a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center with a padlocking provision, sealing on a closed cell neoprene gasket.
Enclosure dimensions are 7.94 in H x 6.16 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 156 x 101 mm). The optional PCJR0705 inner panel (6.75 x 4.88 in / 171 x 124 mm) mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts using plated carbon steel truss screws; 0.100 in aluminum and 0.075 in white steel back panel thicknesses are shown on the drawing.
Two polycarbonate flanges are glued to the back, with four #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws, and eight R.170 (4.32 mm) slots for mounting. The series is UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, carries UL 94 V-0 and UL746C f1 ratings, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ864LF ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
