Hammond PCJ864L 8x6x4 Polycarbonate Junction Box, Latch Cover and Feet

The PCJ864L is an 8 x 6 x 4 in (203 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged cover and four polycarbonate feet. Its taller-than-wide proportions suit a vertical stack of terminals or a small control device, and like the rest of the metal-latch PCJ Series it is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors and outdoors, including pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.

Body and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in light gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and can be punched, cut or drilled on site. The cover swings on a stainless steel hinge pin and is closed by a stainless steel lockable snap latch located on center, which includes a padlocking provision. The drawing shows a closed cell neoprene gasket.

Enclosure dimensions are 7.94 in H x 6.16 in W x 3.98 in D (202 x 156 x 101 mm). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws accept the optional PCJR0705 inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm), which the drawing lists in 0.100 in aluminum or 0.075 in white steel.

Mounting is through four polycarbonate feet attached with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel screws, each with a 0.32 in (8.17 mm) hole. The series is UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is V-0 per UL 94 and f1 per UL746C, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The PCJ864L ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
