Hammond PBPS19014GY2 8U Solid Steel Rack Blanking Panel, Dark Gray

The PBPS19014GY2 is an 8U flat steel rack panel from the PBPS Series, used to cover unused rack space in 19 inch equipment racks. It is intended for data center, server room, telecom and network installers who need to close open rack openings so conditioned air is directed through equipment rather than recirculating around it. This version is finished in ANSI61 dark gray; the same 8U size is also offered in matte black, light gray and matte white.

Construction is solid 14-gauge mild steel (0.072 in) with a smooth powder coat finish, giving a rigid panel that holds its shape across a full 8U span and presents a clean, uniform face on the front of the rack. The powder coat is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the panel is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

Panel height is 14.00 in (356 mm) nominal for 8 rack units, with a drawing height of 13.97 in (355 mm) and an overall width of 19.00 in (483 mm) to suit standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails. The panel uses eight 0.250 x 0.375 in mounting slots, giving 8 mounting points so the panel can be secured at both the upper and lower rail positions. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

Because the PBPS19014GY2 is a solid, unvented panel, it blocks airflow gaps to support front-to-rear cooling and hot aisle / cold aisle separation, and it can also be used to visually divide groups of equipment in a rack. Mounting hardware is not included, so rack screws or cage nuts appropriate to your rail type should be ordered separately.
