PBFS19008BK is a 5U formed steel rack panel used to close off unused mounting space in a standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack. It is intended for data center, telecom and network installers, facilities teams and OEM integrators who need to block open rack space so cooled supply air is not lost and hot exhaust air cannot recirculate back to equipment intakes.
The panel is made from 16 gauge (0.057 in) mild steel with formed, flanged edges. The flanges add rigidity while keeping the panel lighter than a comparable flat steel plate, and they give the panel a clean edge line once installed. The finish is a smooth powder coat in RAL9005 Matte Black; the same 5U size is also offered in ANSI61 Dark Gray (PBFS19008GY2), RAL7035 Light Gray (PBFS19008LG2) and RAL9003 Matt White (PBFS19008WH).
Panel height is 8.75 in (222 mm), equal to 5 rack units, with an overall drawing height of 8.72 in (221 mm) and a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width. Four mounting points are provided through 0.250 x 0.375 in slots, so the panel can be secured to the rack rails at four locations. Mounting hardware is not included and should be ordered to suit the rack rail thread. Shipping weight is 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg).
