Hammond PBFS19008LG2 5U Formed Steel Rack Panel, Light Gray

The PBFS19008LG2 is a 5U formed steel rack panel that covers unused space in standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails. It is intended for IT and network teams, AV and telecom integrators, and facilities staff who need to close open rack space so conditioned air is directed through equipment instead of recirculating around it.

The panel is made from 16-gauge (0.057 in) mild steel with a formed, flanged edge profile. The flanges add rigidity while keeping the panel lighter than a flat steel plate of the same coverage, and they give the installed panel a clean, finished line across the rack face. The finish is a smooth powder coat in RAL7035 light gray; the same panel height is also offered in matte black, dark gray and matt white part numbers within the PBFS series.

Nominal rack height is 5U, with a panel height of 8.75 in (222 mm) and a mounting width of 19.00 in (483 mm). The drawing shows an 18.32 in (465 mm) formed body width, an 8.72 in (221 mm) panel face dimension, a 1.48 in (38 mm) flange dimension and a 0.50 in (13 mm) return. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

Mounting uses four points with 4X 0.250 x 0.375 in slots, so the PBFS19008LG2 can be aligned to standard rack hole patterns in floor-standing or wall mount racks. Mounting hardware is not included and should be ordered to suit the rack rail thread type.

The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant, USMCA compliant, made in Canada, and classified ECCN EAR99 under tariff code 8538.10.0000. The powder coat finish is stated as GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant.
