Hammond PA1UWH 1U Rack Rail Width Reducer Panel, White

The PA1UWH is a 1U rack rail width reducer, supplied in pairs, that adapts 23 in and 24 in rack rails so standard 19 in rackmount equipment can be installed without custom modification. It is aimed at IT and network integrators, telecom technicians and facilities teams who need to place 19 in switches, patch panels or servers into wider telecom or legacy racks.

Each reducer is formed from 14-gauge mild steel and finished in matte white powder coat (RAL9003). The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and rounded corners reduce sharp edges during handling and installation. The part is TAA compliant and manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

PA1UWH provides 1U of mounting height, 1.75 in (44 mm), matching one EIA rack unit. Per the drawing, the reducer measures 3.12 in (79 mm) long with a .75 in (19 mm) return and .09 in (2 mm) material thickness, and a front panel height of 1.72 in (44 mm). Equipment mounting holes are 10-32 tapped for EIA-standard rackmount hardware, while 0.250 x 0.375 in oblong slots allow the reducer to be fastened to the existing rack rails.

Four 12-24 x 5/8 in mounting screws are supplied. Because the PA1UWH ships as a pair, one order covers both the left and right rails for complete adaptation of a single 1U position. A matte black version, PA1UBK, is available in the same series for installations that require RAL9005.
