Hammond NWMFH2 Fan and Rain Hood Kit for 18/27U NWM Cabinets

The NWMFH2 is a fan and rain hood kit from the NWMFH Series, assembled for use with the NWM Cabinet Series and sized for 18/27U NWM wall-mount NEMA rack cabinets. It is intended for integrators, OEM engineers, electricians and facilities teams that need filtered forced-air cooling on a sealed wall-mount enclosure installed in wet, dusty or washdown areas.

The kit ships as a matched component set rather than loose parts. NWMFH2 includes one RH60000N4LG rain hood and one PFA60000LG Type 12 filter for the front door (intake position), plus two RH30000N4LG rain hoods and two PFA30000LG Type 12 filters for the rear section (exhaust positions). Supplying the hoods and filters together keeps every component inside the UL file, so the kit can be updated without revising the NWM UL File.

Rain hoods in this series use rugged 16-gauge STH21125 galvanized steel construction with a RAL 7035 light gray powder coat finish for corrosion resistance and a clean industrial appearance. A high-compression closed-cell gasket with multiple seal dams creates a tight, waterproof seal, and an integrated direct-spray barrier/baffle maximizes airflow while shielding the filter fan from water overspray. Installation is straightforward: a mounting bracket secures around the cutout and the rainhood slides down over the bracket.

Filter fans in the series use a patented Click & Fit design for tool-free installation with no hardware required, are moulded from heat-resistant ABS-FR thermoplastic rated UL 94 V-0, and use a fluted filter that extends service intervals up to 3x longer than conventional filter media. The rain hoods are UL / cUL Listed Type 4 when installed with the included PF Series Filterfan.

Fans are ordered separately for NWMFH2: DTFK1AC254 for intake with thermostat and DTFK1AC150E for exhaust with thermostat. An optional grill/solid cover kit is also available for the rain hoods used here.
