Hammond NWMFH1 Filter and Rain Hood Kit for 12U Wall Cabinet

The NWMFH1 is a factory-matched fan and rain hood kit sized for the 12U NWM wall-mount cabinet, giving integrators, electricians and OEM engineers a ready-assembled ventilation package instead of sourcing hoods and filters separately. It belongs to the NWMFH Series, which is intended for use with the NWM Cabinet Series.

The kit ships with three rain hoods and three matching Type 12 filters: one RH40000N4LG rain hood with one PFA40000LG filter for the front door (intake position), plus two RH20000N4LG rain hoods with two PFA20000LG filters for the rear section (exhaust position). Hammond supplies the components as a kit because UL requires every component to appear in the file; packaging them this way allows the kit contents to be updated without revising the NWM UL file. Each component also carries its own replacement part number for later service.

Rain hoods in the series use rugged 16-gauge STH21125 galvanized steel with a RAL 7035 light gray powder coat finish. A mounting bracket secures around the cabinet cutout and the hood slides down over the bracket for quick assembly, while a high-compression closed-cell gasket with multiple seal dams forms a waterproof seal. An integrated direct-spray barrier/baffle maximizes airflow while shielding the filter fan from water overspray, which suits washdown and high-spray locations.

The series filter fans use a patented Click & Fit design for tool-free installation, heat-resistant ABS-FR thermoplastic rated UL 94 V-0, and a fluted filter element rated for up to 3x longer life than conventional media. Fans are ordered separately for NWMFH1: DTFK1AC150 for intake with thermostat, DNFK1AC120 for exhaust, or DTFK1AC120E for exhaust with thermostat. The kit is cULus listed under UL File E175229 and CSA certificate 246217, is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, and ships at 24 lbs (10.89 kg).
