Hammond NWC18U2436SNBK 18U Sealed Wall-Mount Cabinet, Type 12 IP56

The NWC18U2436SNBK is an 18U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet built for network and industrial equipment that has to survive dust, dirt and washdown-adjacent conditions. It is the "N" configuration of the NWC Series: no climate control and no cutouts of any kind, so the enclosure ships as a fully solid, sealed box with a solid (non-window) door in RAL9005 Black. Integrators, plant electricians, automation engineers and facilities teams use it for IDF and edge computing drops where a standard indoor wall cabinet would not hold up.

Construction is 14-gauge welded steel (mild steel) with a powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Gasketed doors seal the enclosure against dust, dirt and dripping liquids, and the double-hinged cabinet design lets the centre section swing out so equipment can be reached from both front and rear. Concealed hinges, external mounting feet and a rear pan design support secure wall installation and cable entry, and dedicated bonding and grounding points are provided for proper bonding of all cabinet components.

Overall dimensions are 42.27 in high x 24.50 in wide x 36.22 in deep (1074 x 622 x 920 mm), with 18U of 19-inch rack space: 32.00 in usable mounting height and 30.00 in usable depth with the swing-out function (26.55 in rail-to-rail). Two pairs of adjustable, EIA-compliant tapped 10-32 mounting rails are included along with a starter hardware pack of SCREW1032-50 screws. The cabinet also allows power bar mounting without using rack U space.

NWC18U2436SNBK is UL2416 Type 12 rated with a 350 lb (158 kg) load rating, independently tested to IEC 60529 IP56, and seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) per IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10. It meets PCI DSS requirements, is TAA compliant and is manufactured in Canada.
