The N1J664 is the smallest enclosure in the N1J Type 1 series, a compact 6 x 6 x 4 inch steel box with a hinged quarter-turn door and a 4.25 x 4.25 inch inner panel. It is intended for small indoor control and instrument housings where an IP20 Type 1 enclosure is all that is required.
The body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge steel, and the formed steel door swings fully open on butt hinges before closing with a slotted quarter-turn latch. The included inner panel is 14 gauge steel. The enclosure and cover carry an ANSI 61 gray powder coat and the inner panel is finished in white powder coating. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the box.
Nominal dimensions for the N1J664 are 6 x 6 x 4 inches (152 mm x 152 mm x 102 mm), with a 4.25 x 4.25 inch inner panel. Per the part drawing, the door opening is 5.00 x 5.00 inches and the door itself measures 6.38 x 6.30 inches. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
Through holes in the back allow direct wall mounting. Series accessories include additional inner panels, perforated inner panels and a Type 1 lock kit.
The enclosure is rated UL-50 Type 1 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 1 (certificate LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the N1J series is listed on the manufacturer's EU declaration of conformity to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
