MPC616 is a universal magnetic vent cover from the MPC Series of Magnetic Airflow Control Panels, supplied two panels per pack. It gives IT, data center, telecom and industrial maintenance teams a tool-free way to cover unused fan openings and ventilation areas inside rack cabinets and equipment enclosures, so cooling air is directed where it is actually needed.
Each panel is a 3 mm (0.12 in) thick flexible magnetic sheet measuring 6.00 in (152 mm) high by 15.50 in (394 mm) wide. The magnetic strength holds the panel securely in place on compatible steel surfaces while remaining safe for nearby electronic equipment, and the panel can be lifted off and repositioned as airflow requirements change. Unlike tape or permanent covers, there is nothing to cut, drill or fasten and no modification to the enclosure.
Because the panels simply attach wherever needed, MPC616 works well for temporarily sealing unused fan cutouts during cabinet reconfiguration or staged equipment deployments, and for reducing the unwanted airflow paths that contribute to hot spots and inefficient cabinet cooling. The MPC Series is compatible with Hammond rack cabinets, wall cabinets, and other steel enclosures with fan openings or ventilation slots.
