Hammond MPB1LG 1-Hole 22mm Type 12 Pushbutton Box, RAL7035 Light Gray

The MPB1LG is the RAL7035 light gray version of the MPB Series single-hole Type 12 mild steel miniature pushbutton enclosure. It is designed to accept one 22mm miniature oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light and protect it from dirt, dust, oil and water. Panel builders and plant electricians who standardize on RAL7035 light gray can use it in place of the ANSI 61 gray MPB1.

Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and welded brackets for enclosure mounting. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and the cover is sealed with an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated in RAL7035 light gray. The MPB1LG cover is not hinged.

The enclosure measures 3.25 in (83 mm) high by 2.75 in (70 mm) wide by 3.50 in (89 mm) deep. The drawing shows 4.25 in overall height, a 3.56 x 3.06 in door, a 1.32 in door opening width and 3.54 in inside depth, with a 0.89 in pushbutton hole and 0.25 in mounting holes on 3.75 x 1.88 in spacing.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. The MPB1LG is listed under UL File # E65324 and CSA Cert. # LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships boxed at 1.6 lb (0.73 kg).
