Hammond MPB2 2-Hole 22mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Box, ANSI 61 Gray

The MPB2 is a two-hole Type 12 mild steel miniature pushbutton enclosure in ANSI 61 gray, part of the MPB Series. It is designed to accept 22mm miniature oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and protect them from dirt, dust, oil and water, giving a compact two-device station for machinery and plant controls. The light gray RAL7035 equivalent is the MPB2LG.

It is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and welded brackets for enclosure mounting. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The MPB2 cover is not hinged.

The MPB2 measures 5.13 in (130 mm) high by 2.75 in (70 mm) wide by 3.50 in (89 mm) deep. Its drawing shows a 6.13 in overall height, a 5.44 x 3.06 in door, a 1.31 in door opening width and 3.54 in inside depth. The two 0.89 in pushbutton holes are spaced 1.88 in apart, and 0.25 in mounting holes sit on 5.63 x 1.88 in spacing.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, with appropriate components required to maintain these standards. It is covered by UL File # E65324 and CSA Cert. # LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships boxed at 2.25 lb (1.02 kg).
