The MPB12LG is a Type 12 mild steel miniature pushbutton enclosure with 12 holes for 22mm miniature oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It is built for machine builders, panel shops and maintenance teams who need a compact operator station that provides protection from dirt, dust, oil and water.
The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in RAL7035 light gray powder coating; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is part MPB12.
Enclosure dimensions are 10.38 in H x 6.5 in W x 4.25 in D (264 mm x 165 mm x 108 mm), with a shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). As one of the larger sizes in the MPB series, the MPB12LG has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring; the drawing shows a 9.38 in x 5.46 in door opening.
