Hammond MPB1 1-Hole 22mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Box, ANSI 61 Gray

The MPB1 is a single-hole Type 12 mild steel miniature pushbutton enclosure from the MPB Series, finished in ANSI 61 gray. It is designed to accept a 22mm miniature oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light and protect it from dirt, dust, oil and water, making it a compact choice for a single control point on machinery or plant equipment. The RAL7035 light gray version is the MPB1LG.

The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting, and captive cover screws thread into sealed wells. An oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure are provided. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated ANSI 61 gray. As one of the smaller sizes, the MPB1 cover is not hinged.

The MPB1 measures 3.25 in (83 mm) high by 2.75 in (70 mm) wide by 3.50 in (89 mm) deep. Its drawing shows a 4.25 in overall height, a 3.56 x 3.06 in door, a 1.32 in door opening width and 3.54 in inside depth. The pushbutton hole measures 0.89 in, and mounting holes are 0.25 in diameter on 3.75 x 1.88 in spacing.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It carries UL File # E65324 and CSA Cert. # LR21001, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. The MPB1 ships in a box at 1.45 lb (0.66 kg).
