Hammond MB181160 189x110x60mm Low-Profile Polystyrene Enclosure

The MB181160 is the lowest-profile enclosure on the large 189 x 110 mm MB Series footprint, at 60 mm deep. It is a rugged electronic instrument enclosure for printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications where a wide board area is needed without much height.

The body is molded in polystyrene with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). Front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. Four M4-0.7 x 14mm cover screws thread into integrated brass inserts and sit hidden in a recess in the base, supporting repeated assembly and disassembly.

The part page lists the size as 7.4 x 4.33 x 2.36 in (188 x 110 x 60 mm), while the series ordering table lists 189 x 110 x 60 mm outside. Internal dimensions are 183 x 104 x 54 mm. The solid lid is rated IP40 and the polystyrene is rated UL94 HB.

Each MB181160 includes the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). The shipping weight is 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg), and the enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant. Factory milling, drilling and printing are available.
