Hammond MB181110 189x110x100mm Two-Tone Polystyrene Enclosure

The MB181110 is a large MB Series two-tone enclosure with a 100 mm depth. It is designed as a rugged instrument enclosure for printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications, and gives substantial internal volume for larger boards and wiring.

The enclosure is molded in polystyrene, with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. The lid is held by four M4-0.7 x 14mm cover screws threaded into integrated brass inserts; the screws sit hidden in a recess in the base.

The part page lists the size as 7.4 x 4.33 x 3.94 in (188 x 110 x 100 mm), and the series ordering table gives outside dimensions of 189 x 110 x 100 mm. Internal dimensions are 182 mm long, 104 mm wide and 94 mm deep. The solid lid is rated IP40 and the material is UL94 HB.

The MB181110 ships boxed with the box, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.71 lbs (0.32 kg). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and factory modification and STEP or IGES models are available.
