Hammond MB181112 189x110x120mm Tall Polystyrene Enclosure

The MB181112 is the tallest MB Series enclosure, 120 mm deep on the large 189 x 110 mm footprint. It is a rugged instrument enclosure for printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications, and is a fit for designs needing the most internal height in the range.

The enclosure is molded in polystyrene, with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). Front and rear panels are molded as part of the bottom unit. Four M4-0.7 x 14mm cover screws fasten the lid into integrated brass inserts, hidden in a recess in the base for a clean exterior and repeatable assembly.

The part page lists the size as 7.4 x 4.41 x 4.72 in (188 x 112 x 120 mm); the series ordering table gives outside dimensions of 189 x 110 x 120 mm. Internal dimensions are 186 mm long, 104 mm wide and 114 mm deep. The solid lid is rated IP40, and the polystyrene is UL94 HB.

The MB181112 comes boxed with the enclosure, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.77 lbs (0.35 kg); it is RoHS and REACH compliant, with STEP or IGES solid models available.
