The MB158080 is the deepest 150 x 80 mm enclosure in the MB Series, with an 80 mm depth for boards with tall parts, stacked assemblies or extra wiring. It is a rugged electronic instrument enclosure intended for hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications.
The body is molded in polystyrene, with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) on a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). Front and rear panels are an integral part of the bottom unit. Four cover screws, M3-0.5 x 14mm per the drawing, thread into integrated brass inserts and remain hidden in a recess in the base, allowing repeated assembly and disassembly.
Outside dimensions are 5.91 x 3.15 x 3.15 in (150 x 80 x 80 mm), and the internal space is 144 x 74 x 73 mm. The solid lid is rated IP40, and the polystyrene is UL94 HB flame rated.
The MB158080 comes boxed with the enclosure, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws. Tighten the cover screws to 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.43 lbs (0.20 kg). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
