Hammond IPC1878 40U NEMA 12 Workstation Cabinet, 31.5 in Deep

The IPC1878 is a modular industrial computer workstation cabinet built to house industrial PCs, HMIs and control equipment on factory floors and in other harsh environments. It combines a sealed NEMA Type 12 enclosure with an integrated operator station, giving automation engineers, controls integrators and facilities teams a protected place to mount, view and operate computing hardware.

Construction is 14-gauge welded steel with a rated 1500 lb capacity, finished in light gray powder coat (GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant). Solid front, rear and side panels use key-locking handles for access control, and doors and panels are gasketed to maintain the environmental seal. Grounding and bonding studs on the frame, doors and panels support proper electrical grounding, and there is provision for lifting eyebolts to aid handling and installation.

This 31.5 in deep version measures 77.32 in x 27.99 in x 31.50 in (1,964 mm x 711 mm x 800 mm) overall and ships on a skid at 410 lbs (185.97 kg). Mounting space is divided into 15U of top front rack units, 16U of bottom front rack units and 40U in the full rear, using three sets of EIA-310 compliant 10-32 threaded combination mounting rails in 12-gauge steel; a starter pack of 10-32 mounting hardware (SCREW1032-25) is included. A 13.50 in x 17.99 in (343 mm x 457 mm) monitor window and a sealed keyboard compartment with pull-out keyboard tray complete the workstation layout.

The freestanding modular design allows multiple enclosures to be joined for larger or multi-function workstations. IPC1878 is listed to UL 508A Type 12, CSA Type 12, NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54, is RoHS, REACH and TAA-compliant, and is manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.
