Hammond HYW242410SS 24-Inch Square Hygienic Stainless Wallmount, 10 In Deep

HYW242410SS is the 10 in deep version of the square 24 x 24 in enclosure in the HYW Series of Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Steel Wallmount Enclosures. Engineers choose it to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, hygienic environments when the 8 in model is too shallow for the components.

It is formed from smooth 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and both cover and enclosure carry a natural stainless, smooth #4 dairy finish. The top is sloped 25°, which keeps water from resting on it and offers potential for controls mounting. Hygienic door latches are 316 stainless steel quarter turns that need a tool to open, door stiffeners are added where required for strength and rigidity, and an internal alignment guide limits door sag.

The internal hinge design supports easy cleaning in hose-down environments; the hinges open the door to 105 degrees and can be removed for a reverse swing or on-site work. A hygienic blue silicone gasket, replacement part HYG2424, mounts around the door edge and can be removed and re-installed for cleaning. Collar studs are provided for the optional 18P2121 inner panel (21.00 in x 21.00 in, not included), together with a hardware kit of panel mounting nuts.

No wall mounting holes are pre-drilled, so the HYW242410SS can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. There is a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud installed in the enclosure. It is listed UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, meets NSF/ANSI 169, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IP 66, IP69 and IP69K, and ships at 61 lbs (27.67 kg).
