Hammond HYW202010SS 20x20x10 In Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Wallmount

The HYW202010SS takes the square 20 x 20 in HYW footprint to a 10 in depth, giving more room for components inside a Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Steel Wallmount Enclosure. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, hygienic environments where hose-down cleaning is routine.

It is formed from smooth 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and both cover and enclosure carry a natural stainless, smooth #4 dairy finish. The top is sloped 25°, which keeps water from resting on it and offers potential for controls mounting. Hygienic door latches are 316 stainless steel quarter turns that need a tool to open, door stiffeners are added where required for strength and rigidity, and an internal alignment guide limits door sag.

The door swings 105 degrees on interior hinges that are easily removed to reverse the swing or to modify the enclosure on site. Its hygienic blue silicone gasket runs around the whole door edge and lifts off for cleaning or replacement; the replacement part is HYG2020. Collar studs are supplied for mounting the optional 18P1717 inner panel (17.00 in x 17.00 in, not included), with panel mounting nuts in the included hardware kit.

Dimensions are 20.00 in (508 mm) high at H1, 20.00 in (508 mm) wide and 10.00 in (254 mm) deep. The drawing shows 23.96 in overall height including the sloped top, 10.86 in overall depth, a 17.25 in x 17.54 in door opening and 13.88 in x 14.17 in of clear space available on the door. It shares its gasket and inner panel with the 8 in deep HYW20208SS.

Wall mounting holes are not pre-drilled, so the HYW202010SS can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. The door carries a bonding stud and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. It is listed UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, meets NSF/ANSI 169, complies with IP 66, IP69 and IP69K, and has a shipping weight of 48 lbs (21.77 kg).
