Hammond HYJ1074SS 10x7x4 In Hygienic Type 4X Stainless Junction Box

The HYJ1074SS is a 10 x 7 x 4 in nominal hygienic junction box from the HYJ Series, built to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, hygienic environments. Integrators and OEMs specify it for junction box and wallmount duty where equipment is hosed down and must be easy to clean.

Construction is formed 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, finished in natural stainless with a smooth #4 dairy finish on both cover and enclosure. The sides are sloped 3° on all four faces so water cannot rest on top in any orientation. Hex head design screws secure a cover that can be removed completely for modifications, and a silicone gasket mounted around the entire door edge lifts off for cleaning or replacement; the replacement gasket is HYG107.

Studs are provided for the inner panel and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts is included. With no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, the box can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure handle bonding.

The HYJ1074SS is listed to UL 508A and cUL Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, meets NSF/ANSI 169, and complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69 and IP69K. It ships in a box at 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
