Hammond HWST24208S16 24x20x8-Inch 316 Stainless Sloped Top IP69K Enclosure

The HWST24208S16 is a 316 stainless steel Waterfall series wallmount enclosure measuring 24 x 20 x 8 in (610 x 508 x 203 mm). Designed to protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial environments, it has a top sloped at 25° that prevents water from resting on it and provides potential for controls mounting. Its hinge design makes cleaning easy in hose-down environments.

The enclosure is formed stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket. 316 stainless steel quarter turn latches with a slot that requires a tool secure the door, and 316 stainless steel hinges give 180 degree opening, remove easily for modifications and are interchangeable. Door stiffeners are provided where required. Cover and enclosure have a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish.

The front height (H1) is 24.00 in and the back height (H2) is 27.70 in (704 mm). According to the drawing, the door opening is 17.44 x 21.47 in, overall depth is 9.21 in, and 0.50 in mounting holes sit on an 18.50 x 22.50 in pattern. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included; collar studs take the optional 18P2117 inner panel (21.00 x 17.00 in).

The HWST24208S16 is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, NSF/ANSI 169, and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66 and IP69K. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships at 46 lbs (20.87 kg), and has a door bonding stud and body grounding stud.
