With a square 20 x 20 in face and 8 in depth (508 x 508 x 203 mm), the HWST20208S16 is a 316 stainless steel Waterfall series enclosure for wall-mounted electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial and washdown settings. The 25° sloped top keeps water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential for controls mounting.
The body is formed stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket. The door is held by 316 stainless steel quarter turn latches, whose slot requires a tool to open, and swings on 316 stainless steel hinges with 180 degree opening that are easy to clean, easily removed and interchangeable. Door stiffeners are provided where required. The finish is natural stainless with a smooth brushed surface.
Front height (H1) is 20.00 in; back height (H2) is 23.70 in (602 mm). The drawing lists a 17.44 x 17.47 in door opening, 17.12 x 17.12 in clear space on the door, 9.21 in overall depth, and 0.50 in mounting holes on an 18.50 x 18.50 in pattern. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included, and the optional 18P1717 inner panel (17.00 x 17.00 in) mounts on collar studs.
The HWST20208S16 is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, NSF/ANSI 169, and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66 and IP69K. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 41 lbs (18.60 kg).
