The HWST242412S16 is a 24 x 24 x 12 in Waterfall Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel, built to IP69K and Type 4X to protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial and hose-down environments. Its 25° sloped top keeps water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential space for controls mounting for OEM panel builders and plant engineers.
The HWST242412S16 is the 316 stainless steel version of this size (the 304 stainless equivalent is HWST242412SS). The series is formed from 304 or 316L stainless steel, and the cover and enclosure have a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, a formed lip on the enclosure body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door.
The front height (H1) is 24.00 in (610 mm) and the overall height to the peak of the 25° sloped top (H2) is 29.60 in (752 mm), with a width of 24.00 in (610 mm) and depth of 12.00 in (305 mm). The part drawing shows a door of 23.37 in high by 22.43 in wide, and a door opening of approximately 21.57 x 21.53 in. Shipping weight is 61 lbs (27.67 kg). At 12 in (305 mm) deep, it offers more internal depth than the 8 in sizes in the series, with equipment mounted on the optional 18P2121 inner panel.
Doors close with 316 stainless steel quarter-turn latches that need a tool to open, and the 316 stainless hinges open 180 degrees, are interchangeable and remove easily for modifications. Collar studs are provided for the inner panel, a hardware kit includes panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure are supplied.
