Hammond HWC2427U27BK 27U 350 lb Swing-Out Wall Mount Cabinet

The HWC2427U27BK is a 27U swing-out wall-mount rack cabinet for 19-inch equipment, built for IT, telecom and critical-infrastructure installations that need enclosed, secure housing with full rear access. It is part of the HWC Series, a UL2416 listed and seismic-rated family of swing-out wall cabinets intended for regulated and high-demand environments.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in RAL9005 black powder coat (painted black sand textured), a finish the series lists as GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The HWC Series is UL2416 rated to 350 lb (158 kg) and seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) in accordance with IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10. The centre section swings out on concealed hinges and includes a safety pin lock-out, giving front and full rear access for servicing and cable dressing.

Overall dimensions are 54.06 in x 24.68 in x 26.78 in (1,373 mm x 627 mm x 680 mm), with 27U of rack space, 47.25 in (1200 mm) of usable mounting height and 24.50 in (622 mm) of usable equipment depth - the maximum equipment depth that lets the centre section swing out unimpeded. Shipping weight is 162 lbs (73.48 kg).

One pair of adjustable tapped 10-32 mounting rails is supplied, along with a starter hardware pack of SCREW1032-50 screws. The rails are field-replaceable, and the cabinet includes integrated cable management, ventilation, side and top/bottom knockouts, a fan knockout pattern for optional DNMF100AC115 or DNMF100AC230 fans, and power bar mounting that does not consume rack U space. A door is not included with HWC2427U27BK; solid (HWCSD2427UBK), vented (HWCVD2427UBK) and window (HWCWD2427UBK) doors are available separately, and the series meets PCI DSS requirements with a door installed.
