Hammond HWC2412U35BK 12U Swing-Out Wall Cabinet, 35" Deep, 24" Wide

The HWC2412U35BK is a 12U swing-out wall-mount rack cabinet for 19-inch equipment, built for IT, telecom and critical infrastructure installations where floor space is limited but load capacity, security and serviceability still matter. It is part of the HWC Series, a UL2416 listed and seismic-rated swing-out cabinet family (UL file E474597) intended for regulated and high-demand environments. The door is not included, so you can pair the cabinet with the solid (HWCSD2412UBK), vented (HWCVD2412UBK), window (HWCWD2412UBK) or positive-pressure filter fan (HWCFD2412UBK) door for your application.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in RAL9005 black powder coat, described on the drawing as painted black sand textured. The HWC Series finish is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the cabinet is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, with Canada as the country of origin.

Overall dimensions are 27.81 in x 24.68 in x 34.78 in (706 mm x 627 mm x 883 mm), with 12U of rack space (21.06 in / 535 mm rail height) and 21.00 in (533 mm) of usable mounting height. Usable equipment mounting depth is 32.50 in (826 mm) — the maximum equipment depth that still allows the centre section to swing out unimpeded — within 34.21 in (869 mm) of overall internal space. Shipping weight is 132 lbs (59.87 kg).

The HWC2412U35BK ships with one pair of adjustable tapped 10-32 URR mounting rails plus a starter hardware pack with SCREW1032-50 screws; rails are field-replaceable. Concealed hinges and a safety pin lock-out support the swing-out centre section for full rear access, and a power bar mounting position lets you add a power bar without consuming 'U' space. Knockouts are provided top, bottom and on both sides, including a fan knockout pattern for optional DNMF100AC115 or DNMF100AC230 fans. The series is seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) and meets PCI DSS requirements with a door installed.
